To estimate the pain of others is lost on us.
We discount the value of things
that do not mimic us.
What excuses do we have to think less of them?
Deceptions that cause blindness
to the suffering of others.
Judging others’ defeats and
taking joy from it,
is for the dead of heart.
Explain why I am so different
that my suffering is of such little value to you.
Let us understand we all dream of the same things, love of God, love of family,
passion for our romantic love and still,
we stand apart, standing in each other’s shadow.
We are calm in our judgment of the other,
for how can our judgment be questioned.
The ebb and flow of time is just a dream for some
and a nightmare for others.
That which does not unite us separates us.
False beliefs
Wanting to belong, a sense of purpose.
Underdog of lost causes.
There’s a rush pulling a trigger.
Destroying, fighting, dying –
All are easy to do.
Building, and living is harder and
far more fulfilling.
Be cautious where you put your energy.
Be the master of your purpose.
Build a just society.
Every morning you will be
behind enemy lines.
If you love a challenge,
it doesn’t get any better than that,
plus, you build.
Leave a positive mark.
Don’t be a joke.
To build a better world you
don’t have to destroy anything.
Decay from disuse is what
will happen to hate.
A Revolution won,
without a shot being fired and
nobody got hurt.
We just need to build something better.
