20″ x 30″ Photo Print of Original Artwork

Long-ago

Though we can never go back,

our hearts never left.

For in the past, we reside,

dreaming of things

that are never to reappear.

Like a bird with a broken wing,

we could no longer fly.

Time never completely

healed our wounds.

When dreams die

the world dies a little bit too.

We have learned again to dream

of muses and their ways.

Be forewarned.

We all need to relearn

how to fly again.

It is the way of the world.
